Getting started
Your first two weeks in the dying world
A short onboarding path for new scum and first-time GMs.
Day one
Scattered advice wastes evenings. This desk keeps habits, vocabulary, and pointers in one place. Read a public overview such as Mörk Borg on Wikipedia, then skim our glossary.
Pick a scope
Track misery clocks and light like hit points. Attrition is the joke and the knife.
Teach the table
Date your omens and NPC grudges. The next corpse-runner should not reverse-engineer your misery.
After session one
Cite zine makers and freelancers when you share layouts. Credit the dead-tree heroes.
House rulings on one filthy page. If it comes up twice, ink it.
Weekly GM or rotating corpse-runner: write lethality and omen rules once.
Optional week-two homework: pick one procedure that confused the table, look it up in a public reference, and decide whether it becomes a written house ruling. Dated notes beat memory.
